Two New Paintings

I have a couple of new paintings that I just listed on etsy.com. Normally I save new work for upcoming shows because I like to release a lot of new stuff at once, but at the moment I'm over that. I've been painting a lot lately, but nothing else is finished at the moment. I have a lot of works in progress, including a series of "mini paintings" that are in the three inch range. Ah, I digress. Here are the two latest completed pieces.

Three new artsy things in the shop.

It's time for a little shop update. The first painting was finished just this morning. The second item is a drawing I made back in November 2004. I forgot all about it and recently found it and thought it would be a good idea to try selling it again.* This time for a lot less than what I asked the first time around. The third item is a painting on paper I finished about a week ago.

I'm not too sure how long I'll be making these messy paintings on paper. They've been fun, but painting on wood is more fun so I think I'll be going back to that.

Anyway, these three pieces are $20 each and if you click on the photo you'll be directed to my etsy shop where you can snatch one up. They are all originals, so when they're gone, they're gone for good. Enjoy!

Now What - painting on paper

"Now What"
8" x 10" - mixed media on paper

circus_act_006.01

"Circus Act 006"
8" x 10" - ink on paper

break my fall

"Break My Fall"
8" x 10" - mixed media on paper

* Ok, that's a lie. I had not forgotten about that drawing. I've tried time and time again to sell it and for some reason nobody seems to want to make it a part of their home. It's so sad for this little drawing. The poor thing has been crying himself to sleep for years now. His brothers and sisters, "Circus Act 001, 002, 003, 004, and 005**", have all found new homes and little 006 thinks nobody loves him.

** I actually can't find 004 or 005. However, It's not a lie about them finding new homes because they did. I just don't know where their new homes might be.

new little painting

I'm calling this one "Want Some Dinner". I'm not sure why. It may have something to do with being hungry when I came up with the title. Anyway, it's spray paint and india ink on an 8" x 10" paper. You can click the photo for some additional photos or to purchase.

Shop Update - two new screenprints on paper

A couple new works on paper have been added to the shop. They are both 11" x 14" mixed media on paper and are $30 each.

"Last Minute Details", on green

"Last Minute Details", on white

Click the photos for more info (descriptions and more photos) or to purchase.

I like making these original screen print paintings. It's fun to see the same image on different backgrounds. It's also nice for the collector to get something that 1000 other people don't have.

In other news I am painting the dressing rooms of this new shop in town and I should have some photos of it within the next few days.

Stay tuned.
