Native Lounge in downtown San Luis Obispo is hosting their second annual Embodiment: A Human Canvas Event.
I was invited to paint one model last year and I've been invited back. This year I will be painting three models! It will be a long day, but it's going to be awesome!
Here are a couple of photos from last year in case you missed it.
I have to close my gallery for the entire day on Thursday to be a part of this event. My only compensation is from tickets that I sell. I have a very limited supply, but if I sell all that I have it will be worth it.
Tickets are $10 each, presale. $15 at the door.
I'm offering them at $10 each or $8 each when you buy three or more.
Get your tickets at:
The Claassen Gallery 785 Marsh St San Luis Obispo CA 93401 Tuesday and Wednesday 12pm-6pm. (Jan. 26-27)
First come first served. Please keep in mind I have a limited amount of tickets to sell and if you wait until they're gone you'll be paying $15 at the door the night of the show.
Embodiment is a 21 and over show. Doors open at 8pm. Show starts at 9pm. @ Native Lounge 1023 Chorro St San Luis Obispo CA 93401
Last Friday my friend Julie came by the gallery on her way to Ventura so I could draw a little picture on her arm. She was on her way to the TWLOHA event. That stands for "To Write Love On Her Arms". Check out the link for more info. Anyway, this is what I came up with and I didn't have much time, but at least she didn't go to the event empty armed.
Yep, the Krink never fails. And it looks like Henry started a trend with this arm drawing thing.
So, I'm in the gallery hanging artwork last week when Henry and Kelly stop by. If I remember correctly our conversation went from Where The Wild Things Are to the new waffles at Bel Frites to coffee shops to napkin stores to the fact that if you're a squirrel (male or female) you are always thinking about nuts to a number of other things that aren't directly related. At some point Henry asked if I would draw on his arm. I pulled out the trusty Krink and did this speedy little gem.
